People living near to Mossmorran are being reassured ahead of an emergency training exercise later this morning.
Large numbers of fire engines and police vehicles will be in the area from 10.00am.
Site owners Shell and ExxonMobil say: “This exercise is planned to allow us to test what to do in the event of any emergency and is an important part of being prepared.
“It is therefore important that we periodically, and jointly, test our preparedness.
“Operations allowing, there will be fire tenders from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attending along with Police Scotland vehicles.
“These may be visible to the local community along the North Access Road to the site or at the main entrance to the site prior to the exercise commencing.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
