Four people have been hurt in a road accident near Cowdenbeath.

Two vehicles collided on the A909 at the A92 flyover at around 6.10pm.

One of the casualties is in the care of paramedics and the others were described as walking wounded.

The road is closed between the A92 slip road and Mossmorran as emergency services deal with the incident.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland is currently in attendance at a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A92.

“Four people have been injured, three described as walking wounded and the other being tended to by ambulance personnel.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
