Flaring at Mossmorran, Fife tonight from A90 : Scotland

SEPA is no longer interested in enforcement or regulation, it is an infected corporate body.

Regulatory weakness like this is identified in many precursors to major accidents. Read the TEPCO / Fukushima Daiichi inquiry, where the board at TEPCO and Regulator were in bed with each other, it’s called feathering the nest.

SEPA is comprised of ex Shell and Weir Group board members.

I’m not against oil and gas but the EPA should be divorced, in full, from the interests they are supposed to regulate / oversee.

Edit: someone helpfully posted a link to a recent article that explores it all: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scotland/comments/f3qi4p/george_kerevan_bella_caledonia_big_oil_sepa_and/
