MAG welcomes brilliant video by Lochgelly youth following in Greta Thunberg’s footsteps

Mossmorran returns to production after six-month shutdown

Fife Councillor and board member of Mossmorran Action Group, Linda Holt said:

“This is a brilliant video by the Lochgelly Youth Forum.

Mossmorran affects everyone who lives in the area, young and old alike. We know from our public meetings that children and young people are very worried about the plant, its safety and the pollution it emits, particularly during bouts of emergency flaring as we’ve just seen.

Inspired by Greta Thunberg, Lochgelly’s young people are taking the initiative, asking their own questions about Mossmorran and suggesting ways to lobby politicians.

Will Exxon and Shell, SEPA and the Scottish Government, also take their cue from the world’s reaction to Greta Thunberg and listen to the young people in their own backyard who are demanding a greener, safer future?”
