THE compensation issue from Shell and Exxon at Mossmorran?

To keep faith and trust with these two plants, compensation must be paid to those residents that are affected.

These plants could prove their sincerity by paying each resident as individuals, face to face, not just a number, that personal touch.

But there is no doubt, that the only people who should get compensation are those residents and people who are near the plants with no council involvement.

No council at all taking charge pay the people their dues direct.

Or surprise with cheques by ‘post’ and list along with names and postcodes.

That way we can see it, it is above board, a common purse hides the truth.

Paying into any ‘pot’ will make all doubt, any councillor who states this is wrong.

The individual needs of the people on the receiving end must be met. What is so hard to pay each resident direct to his or her home, by cheque or face to face.

But to hand a massive sum to the council and so called people on committees is ludicrous or underhand, indeed is a no,no.

It is not right or just.

MRS C CAMPBELL,

Cowdenbeath.
