They are the Scottish equivalent of Tony Blair, Macron’s neoliberals or Merkel’s conservatives. Just because they had some good policies doesn’t mean that overall they are shit. Ask any trans person who has had to suffer the constant gaslighting from sitting MPs and MSPs, or the nearby Mossmorran, or the victims of Salmonds mysoginist mobs.

I could go on, but independence shouldn’t have to be tarred by association with such a milquetoast party whose failure to act in favour of working people, risks the rise of the Tories (second largest party in Scotland by the way), and how just like the USA’s democrats and neolibs the world over, their refusal to move left will result in fascistic disasters like Trump and Johnson (even today, the right wing lgbt+ phobic wing within the party is edging dangerously close to cultural hegemony; might i remind you that little to no disciplinary action is taken against such people).

If you have to vote for someone in Scotland, go Green, but just as in the USA, and elsewhere, the only real solution is building working class power and support networks, certainly not using a centrist neoliberal nationalist party to achieve the fragile dream of independence(which alone, despite how nice the collapse of the British state may sound, is unlikely to lead to a more leftwards society, history has shown us that much).
