FIFE Ethylene Plant at Mossmorran is continuing to expand its workforce – with 16 new jobs filled in the first six months of this year.
ExxonMbil said the latest recruitment continues their proud 35-year history of providing skilled manufacturing jobs in the local community.
Plant manager Martin Burrell said: “It is great to be able to welcome so many new members to our team.
“For over three decades we have been providing some of the most skilled and rewarded roles in Fife and we are proud to continue to do so.
“Our new recruits range from complete beginners in the field, to people with many years of experience under their belts and they will all bring their own attributes to Fife Ethylene Plant.”
The new posts include machinery and process engineers, six process technicians, two maintenance apprentices and a business administration apprentice, instrument, machinery and analyser technicians, and two graduate trainee engineers.
They will carry out a variety of roles from the maintenance and repair of equipment to admin duties and vital planning and process tasks to assist the plant’s role in the manufacturing of ethylene.
The company said the new recruits will help to enhance the existing skills pool at the site, as well as benefitting from high quality training and opportunities.
In addition to the full-time posts, four university students have also had gained work experience at the Mossmorran complex, ranging from eight weeks over the summer to year-long industrial placements.
